CASE 01 · NAMED CLIENTLuxury fashion · In-house transformation

Melissa Odabash

DELIVEREDNamed customer success story

Replacing a costly 3PL with an in-house Fishbowl operation built for control, service and growth.

Melissa Odabash brought DataShip in to evaluate the systems, costs and operating processes behind its inventory and fulfillment model. The existing third-party logistics arrangement was taking approximately 20% from the operation while leaving the brand with limited day-to-day control. After assessing the requirements, DataShip selected Fishbowl as the operational core and designed the transition away from the 3PL.

We helped bring the warehouse operation in-house, then optimized the physical and digital workflows around it. That work covered receiving and put-away, inventory organization, location control, replenishment, pick-pack-ship processes, shipping visibility and the reports the team needed to manage purchasing and fulfillment. The result was more direct control over inventory and customer orders, less dependency on an expensive outside provider and a stronger operating foundation for the brand.

The improvement reached beyond the warehouse. Cleaner inventory information and more reliable shipping workflows gave customer service better answers, reduced the time spent chasing order status and helped the back office work from more consistent operational data. DataShip continued to support Fishbowl-connected applications, product-content workflows, reporting and day-to-day troubleshooting as the in-house model matured.

CASE 02 · TIRE WHOLESALEWholesale inventory + service

Mad Hatter Muffler & Tire

WHOLESALE OPERATIONSInventory · purchasing · order flow

Understanding the inventory realities behind a high-SKU tire-wholesale operation.

Benjamin's work with Madd Hatter Muffler & Tire brings practical context from a business where purchasing, product references, fitment, warehouse availability and customer demand have to stay aligned. Tire wholesale is not a simple item-count problem: the team must be able to find the right product, understand what is available and move orders without creating avoidable stock or service delays.

That operating perspective informs how DataShip approaches wholesale and distribution customers. We begin with the product catalog, purchasing decisions, inventory locations and order path, then identify where clearer ownership, reporting, integration or automation can remove friction.

CASE 03 · CUSTOM PRODUCT SOLUTIONPet care · Connected operations

Kindred Trail Pet Nutrition

CUSTOM SOLUTIONSupplier-to-fulfillment operating model

Connecting supplier evidence, quality release, inventory and channel demand for a growing pet-care product.

Kindred Trail Pet Nutrition demonstrates how DataShip connects a functional dog-chew operation from approved ingredients through customer delivery. Supplier and ingredient records remain in the approved quality environment, while Fishbowl manages purchasing, receipts, production, lots and finished-goods inventory. Commerce and retail channels send demand into the same controlled operating flow.

The connected model prevents the team from manually reconciling quality status, inventory and orders across separate spreadsheets. Exceptions—such as a missing certificate, unreleased lot or channel shortage—surface with the supporting evidence and route to the person authorized to decide.

Daymark Hydration

CUSTOM SOLUTIONFormula-to-fulfillment operating model

Building a controlled formula-to-fulfillment model for a custom electrolyte product.

Daymark Hydration demonstrates the complete operating path for an electrolyte powder. Approved formulas and supplier specifications feed purchasing and production requirements; Fishbowl manages components, work orders, lots and inventory; channel demand and fulfillment status stay connected to planning and customer service.

DataShip's control layer validates the handoffs, preserves the identifiers that matter and surfaces exceptions before they become stockouts, production delays or customer-service problems.

CASE 05 · AUTOMOTIVE SUPPLY CHAINAutonomous vehicles · Parts operations

Cruise

FISHBOWL OPERATIONSPredictive maintenance · Parts readiness

Using Fishbowl to support predictive-maintenance planning and automotive parts readiness.

Benjamin's experience at Cruise included using Fishbowl in support of the automotive parts supply chain and predictive-maintenance planning. The operating challenge was to connect expected maintenance demand with the parts required to keep autonomous-vehicle work moving.

The lesson applies well beyond autonomous vehicles: a maintenance signal creates value only when the correct item, availability, location, lead time and replenishment decision can be understood together. DataShip uses that experience when designing Fishbowl-centered parts, service and maintenance workflows for automotive and industrial operations.

Qualified diligence

What a serious reviewer can ask to see.

A public website should establish credibility; it should not expose client data. For a qualified platform, partner or buyer review, DataShip can assemble a permissioned evidence room around the scope being evaluated.

  • Redacted architecture and workflow diagrams
  • Sample application and report outputs
  • Technical walkthrough with the delivery owner
  • Client references where permission is granted
